Local retail: boutique, butcher, bakery, florist
Website for local retail in Mechelen & surroundings
These days almost everyone checks Google before walking into a shop. Are your hours right? Can they see what your place looks like? Do they know what you stock? Your own site is your shop window for the moment your door is shut. I build local retail sites that do exactly that: show what makes your shop special and get people from the neighbourhood over the threshold. No full webshop needed if that doesn't suit you. I've just started out and I work solo, so you always have me personally on the line.
What it costs you
- Wrong Google hours, angry customers at a closed door
- No interior or product photos, no reason to visit
- No newsletter, no repeat visits
- No categorisation, Google doesn't know what you sell
- Gift-seekers can't find you, you miss Mother's and Father's Day
- Chains and Amazon eat your market
What's included
Digital storefront
Big photos of your shop and your products. People feel the atmosphere before they even step in, and that's the little nudge that gets them through the door.
Product list
Your nicest products with photo and price. No full webshop needed, but findable in Google so people know what you stock.
Hours always right
You edit them once on your site and they're instantly correct on Google. Nobody stands at a closed door because of wrong hours.
Gift help
"Mother's Day gift under €50" helps the hesitant choose and turns a visitor into a customer. Works for every holiday or promotion.
Newsletter
Customers subscribe and you send the occasional update or offer. Someone who comes back is worth far more than a one-time visitor.
Local SEO
You show up for "bakery Mechelen", "florist Vilvoorde" or "boutique Lier", exactly what the neighbourhood types.

Time and budget

Frequently asked
I don't need an online shop.
You don't need one. Many local shops do fine with just a digital shop window: findable, with hours and a product list, no online sales. I only add a webshop when you genuinely need one.
My customers are older, they don't go online.
Maybe not the older ones themselves, but their kids and grandkids do, and they're the ones searching for gifts.
I have no time to manage a site.
And you don't have to, that's exactly why I build it this way. You hand me a few photos and some short text, I do the rest. After that there's little to no upkeep, and if something does need changing, I take care of it. You don't have to spend your evenings on it.
Compete with Amazon?
You're not competing with Amazon. Amazon doesn't sell local atmosphere, personal advice, or "pop in this afternoon". That's what you sell, and that's what I put front and centre on your site.
