Farming and plots
Aerial photo of your land or farm
A plot on a map says little. The same plot photographed from the air shows its shape, its position, its access and its neighbours in one image. For a sale, a lease or simply a file, it is the clearest thing you can add.
What we watch for
- The season shapes the image. A field in May looks nothing like the same field in November. To show the crop we plan during the growing season; if it is about the shape and the boundaries of the plot, a bare field is actually clearer.
- In the countryside airspace restrictions are rare, which keeps this simple. If your land sits under the Brussels Airport approach or next to a military site, I check that and tell you in advance.
- I keep my distance from animals. Livestock spooks at an aircraft coming too close, so above a meadow with cattle or horses I stay higher and fly calmly. That costs nothing in image quality.
- Several plots on one day is cheaper than three separate trips. If they are in the same municipality, say so up front and I count it as one job.
What it gets used for
Sale or lease
A buyer or tenant sees in one image how the plot lies, how it is reached and what surrounds it.
A file or application
A dated aerial photo makes a file concrete where a map stays abstract.
Showing your farm
A farmhouse, a barn or a farm shop from the air: good material for your site, your leaflet or your shop.
What it costs
Getting a plot on camera starts from 70 euros. For that I come out, fly the plot and you get edited photos from directly above and at an angle. Several plots or a cut video of the farm runs up to around 200 euros. If you follow the same field several times a year, we agree a price per visit.
Frequently asked questions
Can you show my plot boundaries?
I deliver the photo as it is. I can mark the boundaries on it afterwards if you give me the data, but that is a drawing on my image, not a survey. For an official survey you need a licensed surveyor.
Do you do crop analysis or NDVI?
No. I fly an ordinary camera, not a multispectral sensor. What you get is sharp colour imagery, not measurement data on crop health. If that is what you need, I would rather say so than sell you something that does not fit.
How large can the plot be?
A few hectares is no problem. For a very large area I fly several passes and put the images together. Tell me the acreage and I will say whether it fits in one visit.
Can you fly over my land without clearance?
Over most farmland in this area, yes, as long as the owner agrees and no airspace restriction applies. I check your address or plot number before we set a date.
A website for your business too?
A farm shop or an agricultural business with its own imagery on its own site stands out. I build the site and deliver the aerial photos with it.
